Year 2008 as we know is a tourism year for Indonesia. As an Indonesian, I highly anticipate this event as it will be an important phase for Indonesia to revive the tourism. I hope also all the people in Indonesia will anticipate for this event and be a nice host for tourists. Don’t hesitate, go to your nearest travel agent and purchase a ticket to Indonesia, as your next holiday destination
Anyway, talking about tourism, you should visit the official Indonesian tourism website. Here is the address. http://www.my-indonesia.info/. Here is the screenshot of it if your too lazy.

Okay, this website seems to be another regular website but recently this website has been discussed a lot by Indonesian bloggers. Why? because its the official Indonesian tourism website and the cost to make this website is very expensive! From the local news, it was said it cost about 1.8 million US$. Take a look again at the website. Do you think it looks like an expensive website?
A lot of people think this is a work of corruption because how could it be the website becomes so expensive while the quality is so poor (by looking at its design).
Andri Setiawan wrote in his blog (in Indonesian language) about the technical aspects of this website and comes to a conclusion that this website is far too expensive. Another thing is why did they choose such a poor name for the official website, also why did they choose .info domain?
Luckily, our country nowadays is more transparent, what I mean is, the people seems to have more freedom in saying what they should. Not like in the past where our government is repressive. Lucky too we have the young generation who are critical towards our governments behavior.
Well my friend, this is Indonesia, anyway - again, please don’t hesitate in visiting our country.

Have you heard about scratchback? It’s a new website that creates a service that allows a publisher to accept tips and “give back” links or images in return. Each listing has a unique message; when a visitor mouseovers a listing, a custom message shows up in the form of a bubbletip. Publishers name their price on tips, and earn money from every interaction through the ScratchBack system. The service is free to signup, and publishers get the code for a “TopSpot” widget in minutes. You can see the code on the right column
Its an alternative ad system that is Google friendly. You don’t have to be worried about it because it won’t reduce your pagerank (like what happened to textlinkads). It has been approved by google because the links are no follow and of course the application is in Javascript.
It is quite a promising new advertising system. If you have earned money, they will send it to your paypal account. The minimum payment threshold is 25 bucks. Why don’t you give it a try?

I was stunned by the result of the first Asian Idol show. Nobody expected Hady Mirza to win. His voice is less interesting compared to the others. Maybe lot of rich Singapore people send tons of SMS votes. Maybe he won because of his looks??
This is what happens to Idol shows. You couldn’t expect the best to win.
Congratulations for Mike Mohede, who showed his best effort. Your still the real champion, the unofficial winner of the Asian Idol 2007. No doubt.
Who do you think should be the winner? Did Hady deserved it or not?
